I was hired in for a three hour event in the evening, which was an exhibition at the Lowry. Throughout the night, I was on a second-unit role, gathering extra shots of the building and crowd, and also filming interviews with the public and attendees. I shot in a cinéma vérité style, referring to the almost ‘funky’ style of shots that people can make – for example, quick zooms, random movements, to give the video a certain ‘edge’. This would contrast perfectly with the static tripod shots, manned by staff from the GMP Press Office.
