Hobbies/Interests

I am a student member of the Guild of Television Cameramen. This has enabled me to be a part of a wide network of industry professionals, on a global scale. There are regular discussions on the email forum that I can partake in, and offer advice to other members. Through my membership of the GTC, I am able to attend workshops and seminars, as well as be informed of the latest industry news and developments.

I love to learn new things, my current aim is to improve my working knowledge of PHP/MySQL coding, I have previously produced a program coded in this for an A-Level project. The project as a whole (paperwork and coding) was graded 90%. I am currently producing my own project management system specifically for media companies.

I spend some of my time constructing my own virtual networks, complete with an Active Directory-enabled server, to further my knowledge of how they operate. Since AD is a regular feature in the SMB environment, this will help me to integrate much more rapidly into the corporate IT environment. I am also starting to investigate penetration testing, to learn how to better protect these networks.
